Curry at Chung King Mansion in Hong Kong

I visited Khyber Pass Mess Club located at 7E of the infamous Chung King Mansion in Hong Kong over the weekend. We had chicken madras - a spicy Southern Indian speciality in a blend of coconuts and condiments, rogan josh - boneless lamb cooked in traditional kashmiri masala, prawn curry, chicken biryani, butter nan and panner paratha. There is also masala tea for drinks. The curry was excellent and everything was freshly prepared. Although the environment can't be compared with more fancy restaurants in Peninsula just across the road, the family atmosphere and high quality meal was nonetheless provided a wonderful opportunity to experience some Southern Asian culture at the unique place that was elected as the "Best Example of Globalization in Action" by TIME Magazine. While most other places charge you an extra 10% for the food, this place automatically gives you a 10% discount. And you also get a nice looking golden VIP card as souvenir. At around $100 Hong Kong dollars per person for a meal, it's really a great bargain.
